Dr. Chu's impressive sholastic record coupled with his extensive training and experience in the field of mental and behavioral health, make him an excellent psychiatrist. Dr. Chu graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines and Cum Laude with a Doctor of Medicine degree from the same school. Not long after he was admitted to practice as physician in the Philippines, he came to the US and did his Rotating Intership at Elizabeth General Hospital in New Jersey and completed his residency training program in Psychiatry and Neurology at the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens. At South Beach Psychiatric Center, Staten Island, NY, he first worked as a Staff Psychiatrist of the Intensive Care Unit for the acutely violent patients and later on he became the Acting Chief of Service of the Intensive Care Unit and Member of the Psychopharmacology Committee. He was also a Part-time Attending Psychiatrist at the Community Mental Health Clinic at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He joined Elizabeth General Medical Center, Elizabeth, NJ as a Staff Psychiatrist at the Adult Outpatient Unit and Partial Hospital Program of the Department of Psychiatry. Later on he became the Deputy Chairman/Assistant Director of the Department of the Behavioral Health and Psychiatry. Currently, he is the Acting Chairman and Director of this Department. Dr. Chu also joined the group practice, Psychiatric Services of New Jersey in Westfield and was likewise a Staff Psychiatrist participating in clinical research at the Clinisearch, Inc. Summit, NJ. Presently, he is a senior psychiatrist at CJBH. He is also a certified suboxone psychiatrist and a licensed medical marijuana doctor. He had been practicing psychiatry for over 30 years.

Dr. Schweiger graduated with Honors in (A.B.) History from New York University, University College of Arts and Sciences and proceeded to medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York, where he got his Medical Degree.
